Daily reading for pleasure
Within each class, children are given lots of opportunities to listen to a variety of texts, which are voted for by the children. During this time, the children just sit back and enjoy what they are read.
Daily poetry
Children are read a poem a day from a variety of different poets, these are selected in line with 'Pie Corbett's Poetry Spine' to ensure that pupils get a broad experience of poetry.
Book corners
Children have access to book corners in every class. These areas are well stocked with a variety of texts and are a great way for pupils to enjoy new books and new writers.
