8:30 -3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays
8:45 - 11:45am Fridays
Our pre school takes rising 3-4 years olds in the morning and 2-3 year olds in the afternoon
Children can stay all day and over lunch - hot meals are available if wanted.
From the term following your child’s third birthday they will be entitled to 15 hours per week funding from the government.
The school, pre school, nursery have a real family atmosphere. We are a village nursery, with a small class this allows staff to really get to know your child individually. This ensures that activities and resources are tailored to your child, to challenge and interest them, supporting their needs and building on their successes. We believe in developing each child’s potential through structured play sessions, through a mix of adult-led and child-initiated activities based on their interests. Our aim is that children learn whilst having fun!
We have a large attractive outdoor space and resources, separated from the main school playground b; there is also a large school field and a garden area with allotments for the children to use regularly for outdoor activities. Spaces between pre school and main school can be opened up. The familiar environment and close staffing links between pre school and reception class makes transition seamless.
Children are admitted from the age of 2 years and we follow the Early Years Foundation Curriculum
The nursery is run by the Governors of the school and inspected alongside the main school. We are therefore eligible for 3 and 4 year old funding - and also for 2 year old funding if your child meets certain criteria.
£4.20 per hour.
Our Pre School and Nursery is managed by Fay Smith, an Early Years Professional with a degree in early childhood education. Training in all areas of child development is ongoing for each member of staff, maintaining a highly qualified workforce.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is organised into four themes:
A unique child
Learning and development
The Pre School and Nursery is open and accessible to all children irrespective of disability, ethnicity and culture/religion.
You are the children's first and most important educators. When parents and staff work together in an ‘early years’ setting, the results have a positive impact on the child's development and learning. Therefore, in our nursery, we aim to develop an effective partnership with you, allowing the child to benefit from our cooperation and encouraging a two-way flow of information, knowledge and expertise.
Please feel free to speak to any staff if you have any concerns or comments regarding the well-being or learning of your child.
To enrol your child in either our Pre School Nursery, please ask for an application form. We may require a photocopy of your child's birth certificate for admission purposes.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
