We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and dynamic team based within our Key Stage 2 classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment and has a passion for assisting in the educational development of our pupils.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff by leading groups of pupils across a range of subjects. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons under the guidance of the class teacher, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. Your ability to inspire and motivate students will be crucial in enhancing their educational experience and helping them achieve their full potential.
Additionally, the successful candidate will cover Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time as well as covering leadership release time throughout the school. This aspect of the role requires a proactive approach and strong communication skills, as you will be collaborating with other educators to ensure continuity of learning and provide high-quality support for all pupils.
We have high standards and expectations regarding outcomes for all students, and we are looking for an HLTA who shares our commitment to excellence. You will be required to demonstrate effective classroom management skills, promote positive behaviour, and create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn. Your role will involve tracking pupil progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers, and identifying any areas where further support may be necessary.
Flexibility is essential within our small school setting. We encourage our staff to be adaptable and innovative, supporting each other in various roles as needed. This cooperative atmosphere not only enhances our teaching practices but also fosters a strong sense of community amongst staff and students alike. As a member of our team, you will be expected to contribute positively to our school culture and embrace new challenges that come your way.
We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the following skills and attributes:
- A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in an educational setting.
- Proven experience working in Key Stage 2 and a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A proactive attitude towards professional development and a desire to further your career in education.
- High levels of organisation and the ability to manage time effectively.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment where diversity is celebrated and all students' needs are met.
In return, we offer a supportive working environment with opportunities for professional development and growth within our school. You will be joining a passionate and experienced team dedicated to providing the best possible education for our pupils.
If you are an inspiring and motivated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in a small school setting, we would love to hear from you.
Join us in our mission to create a loving and nurturing atmosphere that enables every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We look forward to welcoming a new member to our community who shares our vision and dedication to educational excellence.
