Nursery Assistant at ‘Rise and Shine Nursery’ – Madron Daniel School, Madron, Penzance

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) practitioner seeking an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young children? If so, Rise and Shine Nursery at Madron School is inviting you to become a valuable member of our nurturing community as a Nursery Assistant! This is a fantastic chance to support a passionate team, contribute to innovative practices, and play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our little learners.

Rise and Shine Nursery is currently undergoing significant development, and we welcome you to be part of this thrilling transformation. Our nursery is more than just a space for children to play and learn; it is a vibrant environment where curiosity is stimulated, imaginations are inspired, and foundational skills are fostered. As we embark on this journey, we seek a Nursery Assistant who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and ready to take initiative in promoting an engaging and supportive learning environment. If you have a genuine love for children and a commitment to educational excellence, this could be the perfect role for you!

An Opportunity to Make a Difference

In the role of Nursery Assistant, you will have the unique opportunity to support the learning of children aged 2 to 4 years. This developmental stage is critical, and your contributions will help nurture their cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Working under the guidance of the Nursery Leader and alongside other colleagues, you will assist in creating a rich learning environment filled with engaging activities tailored to meet the needs and interests of our children. Your efforts will contribute not only to the individual growth of each child but also to the overall ethos of Rise and Shine Nursery, where every child is respected and valued.

About Rise and Shine Nursery

Nestled within the welcoming grounds of Madron School, Rise and Shine Nursery is ideally positioned to meet the needs of our community. The nursery is designed to be a home away from home for our children, placing a strong emphasis on play-based learning that is both enjoyable and educational. It serves as the foundation for our children’s educational journey through the school.

Our educators are dedicated to providing an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters respect and understanding among our young learners. By prioritising the emotional and social development of our children, we ensure that each child feels safe, happy, and prepared to explore the world around them.

The nursery is equipped with a variety of resources to facilitate learning and exploration—from arts and crafts materials to outdoor play areas, including our recently established Forest School. We believe that the world is a child's classroom, and we wholeheartedly encourage exploration, creativity, and discovery in every facet of their development.

What We Offer

Joining Rise and Shine Nursery at Madron means becoming part of a fantastic school that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. We take pride in our supportive atmosphere and commitment to staff development. As a Nursery Assistant, you will have access to various professional development opportunities, enabling you to stay informed about the latest in early years education.

Moreover, since this position operates on a term-time only basis, you will benefit from scheduled time off during school holidays, promoting a healthier work-life balance. This structure ensures that you remain rejuvenated and ready to contribute your best efforts to our children.

The Person We Are Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need to have a solid understanding of the EYFS Framework and children's developmental milestones. Your experience working with young children is essential, and your enthusiasm for nurturing their growth will be invaluable. An ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, enabling you to engage positively with both children and adults alike.
